We Interrupt These Old Posts...

I have to interrupt my "catch up" posts to let you know about a new problem. Beginning Monday morning we developed a new problem at my house. This...

Now this would not normally be a problem. This spoiled dog has the run of the house and if he wants to lay on my bed and my pillow he is more than welcome (he will move out of my spot when I am ready to get in the bed).

Problem is... this is about two minutes after I should have left the house to meet my carpool. Our normal routine is for him to to out on a leash and do his business and then come back in. When we get in the front door the leash comes off and be runs to his crate and waits for his treat. Ever since the weather turned cold he comes back in and the leash comes off he heads for the nice warm bed. The first morning I was able to trick him into his crate. The second day I had to drag him. This does not bode well for my mornings this winter. He and I are going to have to come to some understanding.

So, I got to work this morning, opened bloglines, read your entry, and suddenly remembered my dog went into the crate when we came inside but I failed to lock it. So, when I did not know what to expect when I came home. Thankfully, nothing was destroyed (that I've found yet.)

Now stop me if I'm wrong, but doesn't "This spoiled dog has the run of the house..." etc offer a clue. Perhaps a wire cage around the bed...kill two birds with one stone???
