Photo Hunters: Two

Here is a picture of two of my favorite boys... Brun and CRB. Don't worry... we didn't leave them separated for long.

Photo Hunters: Creative... Revealed

Well Lauren was the closest on her guesses of what the Photo Hunters photos were actually pictures of.

Lauren guessed Photo #1 exactly right... it was the St. Louis Arch with the sun shining off of it.

Photo #2 was in fact a picture of a bridge as Lauren suspected. It was a closeup of some of the trusses in the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia.

Thanks to all of you who indulged me by looking at my "Creative" artsy photos. I guess my background in Civil Engineering allows me to be fascinated with large structures such as bridges and arches. :-)

Photo Hunters: Creative

I tend to take random "creative" photos from time to time so I thought I would share two of those pictures with you for this weeks theme of "Creative." See if you can figure out what either or both of these pictures are of.

Here is "Creative" Photo #1:

Here is "Creative" Photo Number 2:

Leave me a message if you think you know what they are. For more Photo Hunters participants, visit TN Chick.

Photo Hunters: Shiny

This is a picture I took two summers ago at the Oshkosh EAA AirVenture event in Wisconsin. I have no idea who's plane this is... I just thought it was a cool shot.

For one week each summer, this airport that most of you have probably never heard of in Central Wisconsin becomes the world's busiest airport. There are hundreds of thousands of people there and thousands and thousands of small airplanes that people fly in to the event.

My dad and I went in 2005 and 2006. Unfortunately, my work schedule will not allow me to go this year but there's always next year.

Photo Hunters: Hair

Brun's hair has made quite the evolution over his one and a half years of life. Here is his hair on the day I brought him home:

Here is his hair at one year:
Here is his hair today (and no his eyes don't really look like that):

His hair today doesn't look all that different from his hair at one year old but it does have more light colored, softer hair in it. For more Photo Hunters participants, visit TN Chick.

Photo Hunters: Shoes

I hate shoes... possibly because I wear a size 10.5 and have a lot of trouble finding shoes. But given that I still have to wear shoes (most days) these are my favorite shoes. If I could wear flip flops every day, all year long I would be just fine with that.
I just read about these shoes this morning... I think I might have to order me some. :-)

Photo Hunters: Colorful

This picture was taken out at the Grand Canyon a couple of years ago. The picture doesn't fully capture the amazing colors I saw that day... it was absolutely breathtaking.

Photo Hunters: Five

Here is a picture of five of Brun's favorite toys. This was not an easy picture to take by the way... when I started moving the toys around Brun wanted to play with all of them.

Number 1 is Pink Dog. Pink Dog was his first toy and it is probably his favorite. Leslie brought him over to the house on the night that I brought Brun home. Pink Dog is currently in the dog toy hospital as Brun has ripped his head open... but he has been repaired once and he will be repaired again.

Number 2 is Eggplant. Eggplant has been repaired numerous times and is now missing his arms and his "stem." I love eggplant because instead of the normal high pitched squeak that most dog toys make, eggplant makes a grunting noise.

Number 3 is Purple Elephant. This is a fluffy favorite that came from Wal-Mart I believe.

Number 4 is Froggie. Froggie is technically a beanie baby toy for dogs and he is a favorite around our house.

Number 5 is Green Bear. Green Bear was another gift from Leslie in Brun's Easter Basket last year. You can tell from his dingy color that he is well loved.

Brun has bunches and bunches of toys... more than any dog could ever need but these are his five favorites.

Photo Hunters: Childhood

I apologize for the quality of this photo... I didn't have a scanner handy so this is a picture of a picture.

I have lots of wonderful childhood memories full of family and friends but this is one of my favorite pictures from my childhood. I was about four and my brother was about two. We were helping to wash my dad's Honda and for whatever reason my little brother decided a band-aid was plenty of "clothing" for your typical car wash. :-)

Photo Hunters: Steps

I actually meant to take a picture of the steps in my office building... but I forgot. So this will have to do. As a big NASCAR fan I was in "race fan heaven" last Spring at the Talladega race when I was oh so close close to these steps. Each driver walked down these steps as they were introduced to the crowd. Thanks to a lot of luck and some good friends in law enforcement I was allowed on the track for driver introductions and was able to take pictures like these.

Photo Hunters: Hobby

Okay I know I am technically too late to participate in photo hunters this week but I wanted to play anyways. This is one of my newest hobbies and the reason I didn't really have a chance to post earlier this weekend:

I have WAYYYYYY too many hobbies. Anyone who has set foot in my extra bedroom can attest to that fact. It is a bit overrun with all of my project materials. How does the saying go... "jack of all trades, master of none." Sometimes that's how I feel... but I enjoy them all so I keep adding to the list.

Sewing is definitely my latest hobby... but really it is more machine embroidery and not so much sewing... but I am working on the learning to sew part of it. The picture above is actually of my mom's machine but I have certainly used it more than she has.

In addition to that I scrapbook, knit, paint crafty things, make wreaths on occasion, take lots of pictures... and there are probably 10 other things I have forgotten. If you want to check out some of the other photo hunters (who probably weren't as late as me) :-) go here.

Photo Hunters: Clean

Dirty:

CLEAN!!:

My desk at work usually looks like the first picture. When I saw that this week's theme was "clean" I used that as a good excuse to clean off my desk. Not only did it give me a picture for the theme... I should be able to enjoy the results for at least a few days before it fills back up with stuff.

Photo Hunters

This is not a popular sight at my house... an empty food bowl. Trust me... when Brun is hungry he will let you know.
